Registered Nurses - New Graduate Program
At Adventist Healthcare we are committed to providing our new graduate registered nurses with the very best start to their career. Our popular and comprehensive New Graduate Program offers structured support for nurses and midwives as they transition from study to clinical practice over their first twelve (12) months with us.
Features of our new graduate program include:
- Comprehensive hospital and clinical orientation
- Coordinated opportunities to rotate through 2 clinical areas including : cardiac (medical and surgical, cardiac catheter lab and coronary care), emergency care, endoscopy and day procedures, general medical and surgical, intensive care, neurosciences, oncology and palliative care, orthopaedics, pain management, radiology, rehabilitation, renal dialysis, urology and vascular surgery
- Access to dedicated new graduate facilitators and a full time New Graduate Coordinator to help new graduates navigate their first year out of study
- Access to Peer Mentors who are specially trained to support our new graduates day to day
- Ward specific in-service and education programs, clinical study days and access to seminars, workshops and the campus library
- A supported pathway to continuing employment following the completion of the program.
Registered Nurses - Perioperative New Graduate Program
The specialist new graduate program is focused specifically on operating theatre instrument and circulating nurses (scrub/scout) roles.
This program offers graduate nurses the opportunity to complete the Clinical Accreditation Program in partnership with the University of Technology Sydney and upon completion, graduate nurses will gain six (6) credit points towards a Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing.
Enrolled Nurses - New Graduate Program
Our New Graduate Program for Enrolled Nurses runs alongside our Registered Nurse New Graduate Program, offering the same structured support and features for Enrolled Nurses as they transition from study to clinical practice in an acute care hospital.
