Dr Angela Yates is a radiation oncologist at Icon Cancer Centre Wahroonga and Gosford. In 2006 she obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and completed a Masters of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology in 2016 at the University of Sydney. Dr Yates completed specialist radiation oncology training at The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse before becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2014. She trained in Lung and CNS stereotactic radiotherapy during her Postgraduate Clinical/Research Fellowship at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne.

Prior to her current appointment, Dr Yates worked as a staff specialist at Gold Coast University Hospital where she had a general oncology practice with a focus on lung, head and neck, CNS, breast and haematological malignancies. She was actively involved in supervision and teaching of trainees and medical students and has published in international journals.

Dr Yates is passionate about delivering high quality, modern, evidence-based care to her patients in a caring and sensitive manner. Her clinical experience covers a broad range of solid tumour malignancies with a special interest in lung, CNS, breast, skin, and head and neck cancers incorporating stereotactic and adaptive radiotherapy techniques.
