Profile
Dr Duckworth is an orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in shoulder and elbow surgery. He studied medicine at the University of New South Wales in Sydney from 1982-86 and graduated in 1986. Dr Duckworth undertook orthopaedic training on the Sydney orthopaedic training program and obtained his surgical fellowship, FRACS (Orth) in 1996. Following this, he completed a fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow surgery with Professor F. A. Matsen III, a leading pioneer in shoulder replacement surgery, at the University of Washington in Seattle, USA in 1996-97. Dr Duckworth commenced his practice in 1998.
Research
Dr Duckworth has a particular interest in shoulder and elbow arthroplasty (replacement) surgery, the treatment of clavicle fractures, shoulder and elbow trauma including fractures, the treatment of radial head fractures, and arthroscopic surgery. As a Workcover accredited practitioner, Dr Duckworth is available for medicolegal assessments and reports.
