Profile
Professor Dominic Fitzgerald is a paediatric respiratory and sleep physician at The Children's Hospital at Westmead in Sydney. He has clinical and research interests in the evolution of lung disease in children born prematurely, asthma, cystic fibrosis and sleep medicine. The education of medical students, trainees in paediatrics and respiratory medicine, general practitioners and fellow practitioners is a focus part of his work. He is an editor of Paediatric Respiratory Reviews, has been a regular contributor to the GP Magazine Medical Observer since 1999. He has published two books : Better Health for our Children - a guide for parents (Clareville Press, 2010) and They Cystic Fibrosis Passport - A guide to the needs of young children with cystic fibrosis.
Research
Professor Dominic Fitzgerald has a clinical research focus with interests in congenital lung malformations, chronic lung disease of prematurity, croup, cystic fibrosis and asthma.
