Dr Szeto graduated from the University of Sydney in 1988 when he was also awarded The Robert Craig Prize in Surgery. As an undergraduate he was awarded a research fellowship to study at The University of California San Francisco. He went on to complete his advanced training in Nuclear Medicine at both Royal North Shore Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital (Sydney). Dr Szeto became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and credentialed with the Australian & New Zealand Association for Physicians in Nuclear Medicine (now AANMS) in 1996 and has been credentialed in PET since 2002. Dr Szeto worked at St Vincent’s Hospital (Sydney) as a Staff Specialist in Nuclear Medicine from 1996-2018, where he developed and promoted his particular interest in radionuclide therapy. Having gained further experience at Heidelberg University Hospital in Germany where PSMA theranostics was pioneered, Dr Szeto joined the San Radiology & Nuclear Medicine team in 2018 and he provides the clinical leadership in our Theranostics service given his extensive experience in this subspecialty. Dr Szeto is passionate about education and training and is on the RACP Committee for Joint College Training in Nuclear Medicine. He is also committed to clinical trials and research and has been published widely.
