Research
In the beginning of his career, Dr Hsieh did a lot of research on Breast Reconstruction, in particular the effect of radiation therapy to Breast Reconstruction. Recently he has focused more on variants of clinical anatomy when raising free flaps and dental rehabilitation post-Head & Neck Reconstruction. As the technology for cancer treatment advances, we see associated complications such as osteoradionecrosis and prolonged wound breakdowns. His main interest now is to learn more about these issues and strategies to avoid and treat these issues in order to proceed to rehabilitation after cancer treatments.
