Profile
Dr Prabhala is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She completed her studies in Medicine at Bombay University in 1984 and worked in India and as a consultant in Iran before undertaking specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, Gosford Hospital and also in the Northern Area Health Service at Ryde Hospital. She has been providing services since 1998 at the Sydney Adventist, Norwest Private and Ryde Hospitals and has delivered over 2,000 babies. Her areas of interest include high-risk obstetrics, adolescent and complicated gynaecology concerns and cricket. Dr Prabhala's holistic approach in assisting women with their concerns enables them to achieve the best possible quality outcomes in both obstetrics and gynaecology. Since 2012, Dr Prabhala has participated as a member of an international volunteer team that performs reconstructive surgery for women with uterine prolapse in Nepal. She is also a regular contributor to charitable foundations including Rotary and breast cancer research.
