Profile
Dr Hunter Wang is a highly trained Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist at Sydney Adventist Hospital with expertise and conjoint accreditation in gastroscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endosonographic ultrasound (EUS). He is interested in all aspects of gastroenterology, hepatology, and inflammatory bowel disease with additional interest in early detection and management of bowel/stomach/oesophagus cancers, gastrointestinal bleeding, Barrett's oesophagus, complex polyps, pancreaticobiliary diseases, functional gut disorders, and reflux disease.
Dr Wang graduated from the University of Sydney and trained at leading hospitals in Sydney and Canberra. He then completed multiple fellowships in advanced endoscopy including at the internationally renowned Westmead Hospital where he mastered complex tissue resection and broad spectrum of endoluminal therapies.
Dr Wang is a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia, American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He has published in peer review journals and presented at both national and international conferences. Dr Wang continues to teach Australian National University students at Sydney Adventist Hospital.
Dr Wang is passionate about improving patient outcomes and dedicated in delivering evidence-based care with a holistic approach.
Research
Dr Wang has a keen research interest in clinical endoscopy and is completing a postgraduate degree with the University of Sydney focusing on innovations in endoscopic resection techniques of upper gastrointestinal lesions.
