Profile

Dr Mohan graduated in 1989 and trained in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery over a period of six years at major Vascular Units in the United Kingdom, including St Mary's Hospital, London; Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, Royal Liverpool University Hospital, and also at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. He worked in the UK as a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Manchester Royal Infirmary from 2001 to 2006. In 2006 he relocated to Australia. Since then he has worked at Westmead Public Hospital and other private hospitals. He is also the Network Director for Surgical Training for Sydney West, and Clinical Senior Lecturer with the University of Sydney. Dr Mohan continues to be an examiner with the European Board of Vascular Surgery Qualifications, and also for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

Research

Dr Mohan's research interests include the role of platelet activation, inflammatory markers and homcysteine in arterial disease and also on the field of endovascular management of vascular disease and has been heavily involved with the EUROSTAR study both clinically and with data anaylsis and academic presentations and publications. Dr Mohan's research interests also lie in the pathogenesis and treatment of vascular disease, both aneurysmal and occlusive, at a molecular and surgical level.
