Dr Jessica Qiu is a neurologist and movement disorders specialist with a special interest in Parkinson's disease including device-assisted therapies such as Deep Brain Stimulation, and injectable therapies for neurological disorders. She runs the public movement disorders service at Nepean Hospital and is part of the multidisciplinary DBS team at Sydney Adventist Hospital.
Dr Qiu graduated with distinction from the University of New South Wales and completed an elective in Movement Disorders at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London. She completed physician training and specialty training in neurology at Royal Prince Alfred, Concord and Westmead Hospital, and has also completed subspecialty fellowships in both Movement Disorders and Neuroimmunology. She is a member of the Movement Disorder Society of Australian and New Zealand, the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, and the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists.
Research
Dr Qiu has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals regarding Parkinson's disease, genetic movement disorders and neuroimmunological disorders.
