Profile
Dr Hellestrand graduated from Sydney University in 1973, and was a Resident at Sydney Hospital from 1974 to 1976. He was Cardiology Registrar at Sydney Hospital from 1976 to 1977, Cardiology Registrar at St. Vincents Hospital, Sydney from 1978 - 1979, and Cardiology Registrar/Senior Medical Registrar at St. Bartholomews Hospital, London from 1980 - 1983. He obtained his Ph.D. in cardiac electrophysiology from London University in 1983. Dr Hellestrand's current Visiting Medical Officer appointments are at Royal North Shore Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital.
