Profile
Dr Urbaniak obtained his MD Degree from Univiersity of Poznan, Poland in 1982, and worked as a Resident/ Registrar from 1982 - 1990. He then completed O & G training in Auckland, NZ and Perth, WA between 1990 - 1997, and has been a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist since 1998. Dr Urbaniak has over 15 years experience in private and public service in Perth, Wagga Wagga, Maitland and Sydney. From 2004 he has been a Senior specialist Clinical Team Leader at Hornsby Hospital. From 2007 -2010 he was RANZCOG O & G Training supervisor. Since 2010 Dr Urbaniak has been working as an AMO at Sydney Adventist Hospital and San Clinic and at Hornsby Hospital (private and public). His areas of interest include pelvic surgery, incontinence and minimally invasive surgery, as well as the management of pregnancy and labour and the use of ultrasound in obstetrics and gynaecology.
Research
Dr Urbaniak's research interests includes complex prolapse surgery using native tissue (non-mesh).
