Profile

Dr Tumuluri is an Ophthalmologist who subspecialises in eyelid, lacrimal and orbital surgery (Oculoplastic surgeon - adults and children). He completed his medical degree at UNSW (with honours) and also completed a Masters of Medicine in Public Health. After completion of Ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital, he undertook 3 years of additional training in the subspecialty of Oculoplastic surgery. He worked in London for 2 years (Moorfields Eye Hospital and Western Eye Hospital) and Manchester for one year (Manchester Royal Eye Hospital). He is appointed as a VMO at Westmead Adult and Children's Hospitals. He was an examiner for the Royal Australian and NZ College of Ophthalmologists in the discipline of anatomy. He is a clinical senior lecturer at University of Sydney and Macquarie University.

Research

Dr Tumuluri has special interest in - management of eyelid malpositions (ptosis, ectropion and entropion surgery), skin cancers in the region of eyelids, watery eye surgery- specialising in endoscopic DCR surgery, thyroid eyelid and orbital problems and management of orbital lesions and tumours.
