Profile
Dr Louie-Johnsun graduated with Honours from the University of NSW and is a Urological Surgeon Fellowship trained in advanced minimally invasive (keyhole / laparoscopic) urological surgery. He has a particular interest in laparoscopic radical prostatectomy being mentored in the United Kingdom by one of the pioneers and leading international experts, Mr Christopher Eden. Other procedures include minimally invasive laparoscopic kidney and adrenal surgery (nephrectomy, adrenalectomy, partial nephrectomy and pyeloplasty). He also performs laser kidney stone and laser prostate surgery. Dr Louie-Johnsun has been an instructor/trainer in advanced laparoscopic skills workshops for other surgeons and has presented clinical research papers on Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy at State, National and International Meetings. Dr Louie-Johnsun practices from the Central Coast.
Research
Dr Louie-Johnsun has published clinical research papers on prostate cancer including his personal results on laparoscopic radical prostatectomy in peer reviewed medical journals. He also has an interest in active surveillance for low risk prostate cancer and has presented his data at state and national urological meetings.
