Dr Robert Chu is a consultant paediatrician with admitting rights at Sydney Adventist Hospital and Norwest Private Hospital. He is a senior VMO paediatrician at Ryde Hospital also. After graduating from Sydney University, he completed intern and residency training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and then undertook specialty training at The Children's Hospital at Camperdown and Westmead as well as at the Sydney Children's Hospital in Randwick.

Dr Chu is dual trained and qualified as a general paediatrician and paediatric emergency physician. He was the Paediatric Emergency Fellow at The Children's Hospital Westmead in 2002 and staff specialist at The Children's Hospital subsequently for more than a decade, serving in multiple roles including teaching, research and senior hospital committees.

Dr Chu's clinical interests are broad, covering most areas of paediatrics including neonatal and perinatal medicine, acute paediatrics, paediatric allergy, ADHD and autism. He is also an associate medical member of ASCIA and an honorary associate consultant at The Children's Hospital Westmead.
