Profile

Dr Sarah Choi is a Gynaecologist specialized in Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery. Her special interests include severe endometriosis, difficult hysterectomy, laparoscopic removal of fibroids and operative hysteroscopy. After graduation from MBChB with Dean’s list Honours (2004) and elevation to O&G specialist (2011), she received intensive fellowship training in Laparoscopic Surgery and complex pelvic surgery in St. George (2011-2013). Currently she is playing an active role in training young surgeons and specialists-in-training. She is a Senior Lecturer of University of Western Sydney, Consultant Gynaecologist in Blacktown Hospital, and on the training faculty of Sydney Women’s Endosurgery Centre. She has lectured widely as invited speaker on gynaecological surgery in Australia, Hong Kong and China. Dr Choi has established her private practice since 2014, dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized and comprehensive care for women using up-to-date treatment strategies and state-of-the-art surgical techniques. Dr Choi consults in English and Chinese.

Research

Affiliated with universities and academic bodies, Dr Choi has contributed to clinical research. Her previous research projects and publications were on measurement of female bony pelvimetry using 3D transperineal ultrasound scan. Her recent publications are on Minimally Invasive Surgical techniques. She has delivered award-winning scientific presentations in national and international conferences. Dr Choi sits on the Research Committee of Sydney West Advanced Pelvic Surgery.
